Playtime and Activity Requirements

Captains

No activity or playtime requirements exist for the Captains. The Captains are the head of the force and are responsible for managing playtime requirements. They reserve the right to change the requirements at any time.

Captains are free to conduct any of the activities available to Sergeants and Lieutenants.

Lieutenants

Activities
Interviews 8
Total Activities Required 12
  • 20 hours of ingame playtime

-Every interview an LT conducts after meeting his 8 minimum interviews will remove 2 hours required from his monthly cop playtime

-Only a max of 10 hours can be removed from an LT, still requiring a minimum of 10

Hourly requirement only active when Splunk is in use for the month

Lieutenant activities:

Below outlines some of the activities that Lieutenants can complete. A maximum of 2 apps or IA reports a day per Lieutenant is enforced. No other activities have daily limits.

If an application has remained unprocessed for over 8 hours, Lieutenants may process them even if they have reached their 2 a day max.

  • Internal Affairs reports
  • Cadet Interviews and Exams
  • Other disciplinary action
  • Cadet’s Third Ridealong
  • Trainings
  • Briefings

Sergeants

Sergeants cannot go inactive just like Lieutenants without losing the rank.

Activities
Ride-Alongs 2
Total Activities Required 8
  • 20 hours of ingame playtime

-Every ride-along a SGT conducts after meeting his 2 minimum ride-alongs will remove 3 hours required from his monthly cop playtime

-Only a max of 9 hours can be removed from a SGT, still requiring a minimum of 11

Hourly requirement only active when Splunk is in use for the month

Sergeant activities: A maximum of 2 apps a day per Sergeant is enforced.

  • New Police Applications
  • Ridealongs
  • Trainings
  • Briefings
  • Disciplinary Action

Corporals

  • 10 hours of ingame playtime

Hourly requirement only active when Splunk is in use for the month

In addition, a Precinct may add additional activity requirements. Check the Precinct threads on the forums for more information regarding each Precinct’s Corporal activity requirements and promotion process.

Constables

Constables currently have no activity requirements, however, if they fail to play cop for over 3 months they may be removed from the force.

Cadets

Cadets currently have no activity requirements.

If an individual has been a Cadet for over 30 days, they are eligible to be removed from the force by a Lieutenant.

Inactivity Reinstatement

Members of the staff that fall into inactive status will have their application marked as inactive, in good standing (if they have no points on their record at time of departure), and will have their whitelist status removed (not marked as blacklist.) When returning, inactive staff may submit a new application for review.

Reinstatement only applies to members of the APD that were inactive. It does not apply to members who left due to disciplinary matters or not in good standing. (If the applicant has points on their record at time of departure, they are not considering having left "in good standing".) If there are questions as to the eligibility of an application, review it with a Captain.

Returning members may not be promoted at a rank higher than they left.
